INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


The dual reed switch consists of two parts – a base and a cover. The base is placed over the cable and fixed to the surface with 3M pads. The two wires are then soldered to the base section and the cover snaps on. A dome magnet is fixed to each door with 3M pads adjacent to and just inside each end of the LD1416. There is a short cable with a plug to connect to the other end of the two wire cable for connection to the controller.
 

STEP BY STEP GUIDE
1. Trim the cable and strip ends for approximately 5mm then tin with solder.
2. Attach the base unit to the surface using the 3M pads and solder the wires to the two points shown in the diagram below.
3. Attach the dome magnets to the doors using the 3M pads in the positions as shown in the diagrams below.

4. At the opposite end of the cable, connect the supplied short cable and plug into the controller.
5. Leave all remaining jumpers on the controller and connect all parts as in connection diagrams below.

7. Confirm unit is working, then clip on the cover.
